Master of Business Administration
It is my belief that the most significant tool to operate a business is management skill. Advancements of technology in communications make business easier than before. For example, modern technology has helped and simplified the way humans and businesses communicate. These can include e-fax machines, electronic mail, mobile phones, and social networking applications. So, there are many new businesses in my country such as SME (Small and medium sized enterprise) business. Depending on the size of the company, not only the owner of the business needs to know about administration but also for those people who wanted to join in a large company and aimed at the higher level of entry. Particularly, I need analytical skills: corporate strategy, strategic planning to formulate successful strategies in any businesses, which therefore by taking the MBA program is the best option for my career path.
In the three years that have passed since I earned my undergraduate degree in the United Kingdom, much has changed in my life. I returned to Thailand after almost 5 years of living abroad. I have enjoyed many opportunities to learn about business both college and Bachelor level abroad. I realized my passion for learning a full-time MBA program while I was studying in the Business with Business Communication program at University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth. Therefore, I began working for a large company in Bangkok, Thailand. Specifically, I had an opportunity to a work as an Advertising Account Executive at Thai News Network (TNN24). A subsidiary of True Corporation, which is Thailand’s convergence lifestyle leader and also Thailand’s largest cable TV provider as TrueVisions. I responded in an Advertising Account Executive. Working with advertising agencies and in the advertising departments of large companies that has efficiency management systems and adequate resources. Expressly, I feel very fortunate that the opportunities I have gained over the past few years have helped me gain invaluable practical experiences in the business world. For example, this experience has given me confidence in my abilities and allowed me to show how theories from university studies can be applied in a real work situation. It has also helped me to develop a solid plan for my future goal, this position has broadened my organizational abilities and has showed me how to work within different systems like marketing, finance and sales. Some of the most valuable lessons I have learned from that experience is that it is not always possible to apply the theories as presented in the book and also the fact that you always have to be ready for the unexpected, this experience also gave me an inspiration for doing my own business
From my worth, I have a strong passion to be stand out from others and to be employed for a high-ranking position by a large multinational company and may be one day I could become a business owner. I am responsible and hard working in both academic and professional life. I also have analysis and critical thinking skills from my undergraduate studies. Furthermore, I have been inspired to fulfill this path by my family and myself. I feel I am a good motivator and I am accustomed to business travel, which I believe are integral factors of business at the highest level. Additionally, I strongly believe that your MBA program will expand my knowledge base and at the same time develop my existing skills. I can also see the business world from a much larger perspective. In MBA classes, most students work full-time and everyone at least have some experiences prior MBA program, and that is the most beneficial part of being MBA students as sharing experiences and knowledge in the class. Additionally, pursuing an MBA gives me a great opportunity to establish my connections in the future. I worked with a lot of companies both large and small; hence I can use my work experiences in discussions about handling clients, marketing strategies, management skills, and negotiation skills.
The fact of the matter is that my work experience will be significant to my Master’s degree. Importantly, my long- term objective is that I would like to continue and develop my parent’s business that manufacture and distribute car parts in Thailand; which the necessary tools and experience required to manage a large-scale business by completing MBA program in the George Mason University. From my research, George Mason University has the qualities that best suit my expectations, objectives and background. Another reason I choose George Mason University as the place that I want to study because it offers a great environment for international networking since there are a wide range of students from various nations. I would love to share the insights I have gained with my classmates, and I look forward to enriching my world with the insights of others. At some point, I see myself putting my knowledge and experience into my parent’s company, and surprising the new trend market with an innovative product and service after I complete my Master’s degree.
